THE FARM ON PUTAH CREEK

farm
We're excited to be having our wedding and reception at the Farm on Putah Creek. The site consists of 40 acres of farmland along Putah Creek, near Winters. The land is devoted primarily to raising organic walnut trees.

The farmhouse and some of the acreage is leased to the Center for Land Based Learning, an organization that educates both urban & rural kids and teens about farming, nature and community. The farm includes a community-supported agriculture garden and cutting-edge farming techniques. Since we highly value education and stewardship of the land, we are happy to support this organization by celebrating our wedding here.

We invite you to explore the farm during your time there, though please note that the orchards themselves will likely be soggy from flood irrigation. You may also want to bring your binoculars or bird book, as every visit we have made to the farm has been full of bird sightings and birdsong (including a few magical visits from an owl).

WINTERS

The town of Winters itself is quite charming, seemingly lost in time. If you're inspired, you could spend an hour or two wandering through the town. Happily our wedding coincides with the monthly Winters Art Walk, so you can tour the local art galleries if you'd like. Speaking of which, did you know that Robert Crumb used to live in Winters?"
